More Christmas

The snow that came on Christmas Eve this year made it storybook-perfect- gingerbread baking and cookie decorating and Christmas carols playing- the whole package.  It also made for a rather harrowing journey through canyons and over freeways for everyone who was traveling to our house on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, eventually, everyone made it safe and sound, and we could get on with the present opening, eating and game playing.

Early Christmas morning, some of us were up and waiting for some others of us to be up.  Duncan and Will rock-paper-scissored- it to see who would be the unlucky one to go wake up Mitch.  He can be quite scary in the mornings.

When we were finally all up, Christmas morning could finally start.

After a short Christmas day stopover at Grandma and Grandpa's, we headed out to Cedar Fort for dinner.

There were puppies, which Audrey would have loved to have as a Christmas present, (and yes, I was almost tempted, but held firm)

target practice, with Mt. Timpanogos as our backdrop, and Alisa and Erwann both taking aim for the first time.

I think all Dan really wanted for Christmas was an Official Red Ryder Carbine Action Two Hundred Shot Range Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing which tells time.

Christmas Dinner at the kid's table.
Christmas Dinner with the cousins.  Poor old Will was sick all day.  Good thing he had his new ipod to keep him company.

It was a good Christmas, and as usual, it went too fast. Now, we have to start thinking about 2013, and what comes next. It's a little scary to have no idea what this year will hold for us.
