Monday Morning

7:30 on a Monday morning.  I have already sent Will off for a week at scout camp (he was not that thrilled about going), ran four miles (intervals-yuck), made my bed (there was nobody in it for once), watered the flowers and started the laundry.

What is WRONG with me?   Getting old and jumpy I guess.  Now I'm going to get dressed and go in to work for a while.  When I get home tonight, it'll be just me and Livvi - everybody else is scattered off in different directions doing their own thing.  We might have to take in a movie or something.

This is a picture of Alisa's knees.

She fell down while running at the pool.  How many times have I told her not to run at the pool? A lot.

And I am supposed to let her just fly off to France by herself???

And THIS girl:

has been in Roosevelt all week.  Apparently, contrary to popular belief, Roosevelt IS the cure for summer boredom, because she doesn't want to come home.  She has been staying with friends and having non-stop girl fun.  But she is coming home tomorrow.  I'm driving to Roosevelt to get her.  I miss her.  Livvi misses her.  We need her back.

This is not a picture of Will leaving for scout camp.  This is a picture of Will a few weeks ago, right before a big old hike he went on.  But this is pretty much how he looked this morning, only he was wearing the hat, and he had an enormous backpack on his back.  He had just about that same degree of excitement as well, maybe a smidgeon less.  Here's hoping he has a good time.  The good news is,  Duncan went to youth conference a couple of weeks ago, so when Will gets home, all of our summer camp-type things are behind us, and the rest of the summer is ours to waste.

Mitch thinks he needs a Toyota Forerunner.  He is going to test drive one today. I think he needs to save his money for school.  But what do I know, right?  I'm old and jumpy.
