Every Day's an Adventure

Today was the kind of perfect day that made you want to be outside...it was the second beautiful day of spring this year. Too bad we had a bunch of crummy errands to run, like finding the DMV in Davis county so we could get our license plates renewed. After we got our shiny new red sticker with the "12" on it, we stopped to play at a park on the way home.  But our visit  got cut short due to a bathroom emergency on the part of Olivia. There were no bathrooms at this particular park, so we headed down the road in search of a gas station, which we thankfully found not too far away.

We then spent an embarrassingly long time in that gas station bathroom. We spent more time in the bathroom than we did at the DMV. Or at the park for that matter. My daughter needs some fiber.

By the time we got out of the bathroom it was time to get Audrey and take her to have her ingrown toenail fixed. AGAIN. Another crummy thing to have to do on a nice day.  But after seeing the piece of toe nail the doctor dug out of her toe, I can see why it was hurting her so much.   It was so impressive we had to save it.  I think the doctor thought we were kind of weird, but hey, that toe nail piece belonged to us.  And Audrey is taking it to school tomorrow.

So, there it is. DMV,  potty issues, ingrown toenails.  Throw in a couple loads of laundry,  some KP duty, and a few annoying phone calls and you have my day in a nutshell. It is ending with Oreos and Celebrity Apprentice though, which is my version of bonbons and soap operas, so all is well that ends well.
