Better

Other than a lingering cough, poor old Will is finally back to his old self again. I know he is feeling better because when I got home this afternoon, things were in full swing, as they usually are when Will is around. He had been to the store and spent all of his money on a 7 pound bag of Swedish Fish. I don't know what he plans to do with it, but that is A LOT of Swedish Fish. He was also making up for lost time in the tormenting of Audrey and her friends, with plenty of running and screaming thrown in for some extra excitement. I think Audrey secretly appreciates all the opportunities that Will provides her for drama. She gets to tell me how he is RUINING HER LIFE when he bothers her friends, and RUINING EVERYTHING, and then she gets to be really angry with me when I don't respond in an appropriately mortified manner, and when I refuse to banish Will to his room for the rest of his life. I am already reminiscing about how peaceful and quiet it was around here while he was sick.

I was on the verge of being worried though- he was a pretty sick boy for a good 10 days. Alas, we will never know if it was the flu, or swine flu, or just some other nasty virus. Maybe it is only coincidence, but his recovery was pretty swift after we started the antibiotic. The doc didn't think he needed it and only gave it to us to use as a last resort if he wasn't better within a few more days. He didn't get better, so I started the antibiotic, and boom, he was feeling better within 24 hours. Who knows? I am just knocking on wood, tile, drywall, whatever hard surface I can find, that nobody else in the family has gotten it yet.
