Pairs

It's probably a sign that you have been too preoccupied when you look at your kid's shoes one day and realize they are so full of holes, the poor kid can barely keep them on their feet. I woke up today to the realization that I had not one but two kids in that predicament: Will's shoes had split all the way down the side, and Audrey's had major holes on both sides. Oh well. At least they haven't been in danger of frostbite lately.

So we went shopping. Always an adventure. Livvi loves shoes. She is happier in the shoe department than anywhere else. While we were trying to find some shoes to fit Will, she was trying on a pair of women's size 10, bright yellow six inch heels, and was very disappointed when she found out she wasn't going home with them. After we found the appropriate shoes, we headed over to the girls department to find Audrey some summer clothes. While Audrey was in the dressing room, Livvi was laying on the floor with her head stuck under the door, giving me a running play by play of Audrey's every move: "She's taking off her pants now, Mom!" Audrey did not think this was funny, but it helped pass the time for me.

On the way home, Livvi reminded me that we had not yet visited Heinous. Heinous is Livvi's friend. Heinous is also a mannequin. The Old Navy ad campaign with the mannequins?? Heinous is the little girl mannequin. Livvi loves her, and whenever we pass Old Navy, she points out, "There's Heinous's house!" I guess because we were shopping today, she was reminded that we have not seen Heinous for a while. But here is a picture of Heinous from the day she and Livvi met a few months ago....

Don't ask me where she got the name Heinous. I think the whole thing is kind of creepy. I need to find that girl some more friends.
