Here we are at the governor's Christmas open house. We got the invite through Dan's work, and figured it would make a fun date. So we stood in line with a bunch of other people, shook hands, got our picture taken, and ate lots of ritzy food. And lucky me, I got to stand next to the skinny and perfect first lady for the picture. The governor's mansion is beautiful....I had never been there before.
And in other news....
Mitch had his phlebotomy final last night, did well, and finished up with an A- in the class (hooray Mitch!) He starts CNA classes in January. He hates his job, but other than that he has been doing well.
We finally got Maggie into the vet, and spent $200.00 finding out that in all likelihood there is nothing seriously amiss with her. They gave us some anti-vomit medicine and sent us on our way. We have been restricting her diet, giving her tummy a rest, and hoping it was just a bug or indigestion or something. So far, so good. I guess cheap dog food can sometimes mess with an old dog's system, so we might try a spendier food for her too.
Next week there is Christmas shopping to finish up, concerts to attend, and wisdom teeth to be pulled!
