I got a new camera for Mothers Day, which I am very happy about, and Alisa is especially happy about, because I have been borrowing hers all the time since Duncan dropped mine about a year ago. I had to drop some major hints for it to happen, but Dan got a small bonus from work last week, and Mitch and Alisa are both gainfully employed now and were able to contribute, so it worked out pretty good I guess. I also got the Dan in Real Life soundtrack (most of which is already on my playlist here) and a big bag of tootsie rolls. My dad cooked dinner for us all later on.
Probably the best gift I got though was that Alisa gave a Mothers Day talk in sacrament meeting. She did a really good job and made me laugh and cry. She made me feel like maybe I am doing okay as a mom if I have a daughter as cool as she is.
So now I can put more pictures on here and not have to rely on the charity of my daughter and her camera.
Quote of the week: Duncan was in a very grumpy mood, and was being a rude little smartmouth. I said "oh, it looks like Duncan is turning into a moody teenager", to which he replied, "well, maybe you should have me neutered." Maybe we should. Hokey the cat is first in line though
