Audrey and her activity days group from church planned a Mothers Day breakfast in the park this morning. They cooked pancakes, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns, along with orange juice and watermelon, for all the moms. It was good, and Audrey got to cook the eggs. She likes to cook! After breakfast we played a game about how well you know your mom/daughter, and we found out some things about each other that we didn't know, like Audrey thought my favorite activity was cleaning! Ha! I set her straight on that one. I thought her favorite movie was Enchanted, but she said it was Underdog. Go figure.
It was lots of fun, and a wonderful way to start the Mothers Day weekend. I wish we could go to breakfast every Saturday morning. Audrey is my garage sale buddy, so in a few weeks we will start getting up early every Saturday to go hit the garage sales. Maybe we can squeeze in a few breakfasts too.
Now I am off to do my own Mothers Day shopping, even though my mom always says the only thing she wants is a hug and a kiss.
