Parties and Pumpkins and Such

In spite of our crazy overworked schedules, we have managed to cram in a little fun this month too.

Last week, we hosted a party for our Primary class. Dan and I teach the 8-9 year old in church.  There are 13 of them,  and every one of them are awesomely amazing.  I can't even tell you how much I love these kids.  Being a primary teacher is absolutely the best job in church.  Every week is a new adventure.

We had a great time at the party too.  It is impossible to put that many kids in a room together and NOT have a great party.

We had food, played a couple of Halloween games, and watched a movie.  Audrey came up with the games and ran that part of the party.  She is amazing as a party host.

In one of the games, the kids had to take turns wrapping each other up with toilet paper to look like mummies.  They loved this game, and they loved it even more when it deteriorated into a toilet paper fight.  That was the only really out-of-control crazy chaotic time.   But it only lasted a few minutes, and then they were great sports about cleaning up the mess.

Then, one day this week, Audrey got busy and put a few of the dozens and dozens of mini pumpkins we grew this year to good use- there is one for each  of us...

And on Friday after work, we headed up to Logan.  Dan and I both worked the football game on Saturday, so ESPN put us up in a hotel on Friday night.  The kids had fun swimming and playing with friends.

And now we are back around to Sunday night, again,  which sort of feels like my Thursday night, since I work  Thursday through Monday and then have Tuesday off.  But since the rest of the family's week still starts on Monday, it's kind of confusing and keeps throwing me off my groove.  As if I ever had a groove.   One day, something big is gonna change.  I promise.
