I didn't do all of this yesterday. I've been working on the front porch area for a while now. It's a work in progress, but it's coming along. I think it's a big improvement over those nasty bushes that were there.
I also failed to mention that we fit in two parades for Pioneer Day this year. The kids rode in the Pioneer Day parade in Cedar Fort, which the town was kind enough to host on Saturday, which meant that Dan could come. He had to work Monday, and it would have been a bummer if he had missed out on all the festivities. That parade lasted about 5 minutes. Then we had the annual barbeque and trough swim at the old homestead. Good days.
Grandpa Dan's pride and joy.
And really, have you ever seen a finer bunch?

Kids also got to be on the radio with Grandpa Dan. He has a little studio set up in his basement and does a bluegrass radio show every Saturday afternoon that is broadcast in Heber.
On Sunday night our friends from Duchesne came to stay overnight and we ventured out to the BIG parade in downtown SLC. This parade did not last 5 minutes. This was a PARADE. With motorcycles and floats. Politicians and prophets. Clowns. And much to Olivia's delight, Ariel on a big ship. Olivia also perfected her parade wave, in anticipation of the day that SHE is the Days of '47 Queen.

And tomorrow all us girls are going to an ABBA tribute concert- hence the fine new playlist on here! Can't wait for that show-- It is one of my proudest accomplishments as a parent that ALL THREE OF MY DAUGHTERS know all the words to every song on the ABBA Gold album. We try to focus on the really important things in life around here!
