5 vs 2

It was Disney on Ice night tonight, and I sat right in  between a very cute 5 year old who was dressed up as Cinderella (Olivia), and a very cute 2 year old who was missing a sock (Griffin, my boss's son).  The five year old kept complaining that the ice show was leaving parts out, and that it was not as good as last year's ice show.   The five year old kept asking where was Peter Pan.  The five year old wanted me to buy her a toy.  The two year old was just  quiet and adorable, totally enthralled with the show,  and kept tapping me lightly on the leg to point out things that he really liked.  So cute! Then he spilled Sprite all over me, all over my coat, my camera, and his father.  And I decided I liked my 5 year old after all.  I had forgotten how sticky a 2 year old can be.

Before we left home, Olivia suggested that since she was wearing her Cinderella dress to the ice show, maybe I should dress up as Tinkerbell.   Imagine for a moment what an interesting evening that could have been.  And if Griff had spilled Sprite on my Tinkerbell dress, I would have been REALLY ticked.

Sprite mixed with pixie dust is not a good combination, I just know it.
