Monday Monotony

In keeping with the monotony that defines the end of February, this week is going to be a series of posts about the hum-drum day to day activities of our family right now. A little slice of life as it really is in the Metcalf home. So if the reading over the next few days is a bit droll, I'm sorry. That is just how it is around here right now.

So. Monday. President's Day. But it was a holiday for only some of us.

Day's Agenda:

Lynne: left for work at seven.
Dan: left for work at eight.
Mitch: day off. slept in. went target shooting. Left target stuff all over kitchen.
Alisa: spent the weekend with us. Took kids to Grandma's house later in the morning. Forgot to take Duncan. Did not appreciate the meltdown that followed.
Duncan: see above. guilt tripped Grandma into driving back out to get him.
Will: spent the weekend in Logan with Michael.
Audrey: see above.
Olivia:see above.

Food: free lunch for me! dinner was an assortment of chick-filet, Marie Callendars, and where ever Dan and Mitch decided to go.

Lowlights: Checking into the Instacare with Will after work, to have his face rash looked at, when somebody behind us barfed. Loudly. Chunkily. And quite a lot. You would think that Instacare employees would be well equipped for dealing with a situation like this, but nobody knew quite what to do. One person got some towels, and tried to clean it up, and then somebody else found some stuff to sprinkle on it, but policy and procedure for dealing with vomit in the waiting room was definitely lacking.

Highlights: Alisa just walked in with a bag of jelly bellies.

Now before the night is over, I have two big old tests to put together for my LAST WEEK OF CLASS! I'm a little excited to be done.

You are an amazing gal with funny stories to tell. Even if you think they are mundane, they are being read. Hope you have a good week, with no puking. :p
