Will was ordained a deacon today, so we had some of our family up to mark the occasion. Scout the dog came along too, and made the day memorable by throwing up on my living room carpet and fighting with Maggie over food. Other than that, it was a really nice day. Will was very excited to become a deacon, and what really made his day was that the Primary kids had to sing in sacrament meeting, and for the first time ever, (well, that he can remember anyway,) he got to sit it out and just listen. He has been so over the whole Primary experience for quite some time now, and having to stand up in front and sing with little kids was just torture. And then, on his first day of priesthood, they handed out cookies, which made everything that much better. It made Audrey mad though, because apparently they announced in Primary that teachers aren't allowed to bring goodies for their classes anymore. Audrey had a really good thing going for a while, because her teachers would reward kids who remembered to bring their scriptures to class with candy bars. Sounds like those days are over.
I didn't take any pictures today, but even if I had, I wouldn't have been able to post them because our stupid computer has gotten some kind of stupid virus and isn't working right now. I'm borrowing Dan's laptop tonight, but posts may be few and far between for a few days until we can get somebody to come fix the computer. We seem to be in one of those painful cycles again, where everything falls apart all at once. Dan's car needed repairs, the toilet seat is falling off, the towel racks fell down, the screen door came apart, my paper towel holder came loose, and on top of everything else we are paying out big bucks for little things like home inspections and appraisals. Then we still have to get this place fixed up to rent, pay moving expenses, and then we get to start making a big fat new mortgage payment.
That's enough complaining for one Sunday night though. One step at a time or I might lose my mind.
