All I want for Christmas is to remember forever sitting in sacrament meeting today, with my sweet Audrey sitting next to me, singing her heart out. The song was "I Stand All Amazed", and listening to her sweet, clear voice, completely uninhibited, singing out the words to the song was like medicine for my soul. If I could just feel that every day, I would be much better. Such a sweet girl, my Audrey. Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time, and keep her the way she is right now.
The kids have other things they want for Christmas. Every year, our six draw names and exchange gifts. This year, I had the brilliant idea to have them make out wish lists to exchange as well, so the person giving would have some idea of what the person getting might like. Here are a few excerpts from those lists:
Olivia- polar bear, not a real one.
candy
Thumbelina doll
golden kitten
Audrey- 8 mini reindeer webkinz
black poodle webkinz
Animal Crossing
Humming bird webkinz
warrior books
pet bird
money
horse calendar
Will- airsoft shotgun
tuner for violin
Super Mario Bros Wii
Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
Duncan- Video games
game cube action replay disk
Alisa- absent
Mitch- Jeep Wrangler
HD TV
cell phone
Guitar Hero World Tour
Dr Scholl gel inserts
PS3 games
Hope springs eternal at Christmas time.
After all of Audrey's hard work in organizing everything, we wound up having to postpone drawing names as Alisa never showed up. She was having Thanksgiving dinner with her friends. We will try again tomorrow.
