I caught myself using the non-word "boughten" today, as in,
"We should have boughten that at Lees."
I'm beginning to talk like the natives.
Next thing you know, I'll be saying I'm "going into town" whenever I drive south of 400 North. Or maybe I'll start giving directions with phrases like, "oh, just go past the gas station down by the bowery."
Boweries are important geographical references in Cache Valley. But the word means something completely different up here than anywhere else in the U.S., I am pretty sure.
