Girls Night Out/In/Out

All the boys are gone tonight, doing various masculine things.

It is just me and two little girls at our house tonight.

And one very whiny girl dog.

We were thinking about doing some kind of girly girl's night out thing. But we haven't come up with any great ideas. Audrey had some friends over after school, one of whom is still here, and right now they seem to be pretty happy just to be outside in the front yard, running and screaming. I'm inclined to let them just be, since very soon, it will be too cold and nasty to entertain themselves outside.

And I don't have any better ideas.

There are no good movies playing. We could get a red box movie, maybe.

Manicures and chocolate are always a surefire combination. But that would involve a trip to the store, since I ate all the Oreos yesterday. And I'm tired.

Audrey just came running in, all excited to tell me about the moth they just caught. They are calling him Robert.

I remember catching moths when I was kid. Most of them got away, but every once in a while, you could sneak up on one and slap your hands around him really fast, before he flew away. Usually the poor things would be pretty much useless after the catch, but it was the thrill of the hunt we were after.

I don't think I can compete with that kind of excitement tonight.

Audrey just ran back outside with the butterfly net. Looks like it's going to be a night of some serious bug hunting.
