Every night for the past four years, Duncan has asked in his prayers to please bless the baby. He started this the night Livvi was born, and I don't think he has ever missed a night of praying for her. Well, tonight, he told me that this would be his last night of asking to bless the baby, because she turns four tomorrow, and she won't be a baby anymore.
I have been having those same thoughts lately. No more babies at our house. We had a better run than most though. And I won't lie- this past year was a tough one. We skipped the terrible two's for the triple-threat three's. I'm hoping that year four will be a little saner, a little calmer.
In a few more months, Livvi will be as old as Audrey was when I got pregnant with Livvi. We will be back to where we started. Only this time around, no more surprises. Our baby days are absolutely behind us.
