Dear Baby Faced Cashier who rang out my Groceries Tonight and Talked Incessantly About How Stressed Out You and Your Fiancee Are Over Planning Your Wedding Because You Just Got Engaged on Saturday, and Life Is Unbelievably Overwhelming,
I understand, I really do. I remember. Weddings are stressful, especially when planning one is the first big thing you have ever been in charge of in your whole life. But trust me, there are harder things in life than planning a wedding, and hearing you whine throughout my whole check out process was really annoying. If you really think your life is so difficult, maybe you should talk to my friend with the chronically ill child, whose husband just got laid off after 18 years, and now they have to worry about losing their insurance and paying $2500.00 a month just for prescriptions. Or how about the family who lost their home to foreclosure the same week their baby died? Talk to them about your wedding woes. In fact, I am guessing that 90% of the people who come through your line have bigger problems than you, and don't really care that much about how expensive florists are these days.
I'm sorry for ranting. You are a nice kid, and I hope you have a lovely wedding and a successful marriage. And I hope life doesn't kick you hard in the head too soon, and wake you up to what real problems look like. I hope you get to dabble in your delusions for a good long time to come. But please, please wake up just a little more, and consider the possibility that there are harder trials in life than planning a wedding.
Am I being too harsh here?

No, my dear - not harsh at all. In fact, I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for putting my "problems" in perspective too. Love you!
