Been drumming my fingers on the keyboard for five minutes now, trying to think of something cheery to write about. Not that we are all in the doldrums- life is going along just fine. I just can't think of anything wildly happy to say. Or even mildly pleasant and entertaining. Alisa's boyfriend is leaving tomorrow for four months in Germany. She is a little down in the dumps about that. I have to finish my Labor Day project of painting all the doors in the basement. Drudgery. Audrey is crying because some neighbor kid called her poohead. We had macaroni and cheese for dinner and the kids are watching the new Little Mermaid movie for the fourth time. Oh, and we found out the Burb needs $1500.00 worth of repairs. That is about as good as it gets around her on the 2nd of September (happy birthday Keanu).
Oh, here is something good- Olivia had her first day of preschool/daycare today and she LOVED it. She didn't even say goodbye to me when I dropped her off this morning. It is a daycare only for kids of hospital employees, it is excellent care and its CHEAP, relatively speaking, because the corporation subsidizes it. So thats a very good thing.
