The good news is: Dan got a bunch of camera work- he is working nearly every Saturday from now to the end of January...doing camera for mostly Utah and BYU football and basketball games. This translates into cha-ching cha-ching for our financial outlook. The bad news is: he is working nearly every Saturday from now to the end of January. It really BITES to have him gone all week, and then on Saturdays too. The only day we have together is Sunday, and guess what- I work Sunday nights from 5-9. Between that and church, it doesn't leave a whole lotta family down time. The really bad news is that all this extra work he is doing is the only hope we have of ever digging out of the debt pit we are in. But I am not complaining. I am being thankful and diligent.
The other good news is that Mitch did indeed make it home in time to blow out the candles on his cake. He got in last night about 8. He is very happy to be home, and his mind seems to be going a mile a minute mulling over all the possiblities his life holds now. He has already gone into his old work to see if he can get his job back, he is planning on talking to the bishop tomorrow about a patriarchal blessing and a mission, and he is right now hanging out with a friend, playing video games and eating junk food. AND, he has only good things to say about all that he learned from boot camp. I was expecting a depressed, downhearted kid. Haven't seen that, at least not yet. We will keep our fingers crossed and our prayers coming. He sure has a good heart, and it felt great to put my arms around him and give him a hug.

Yea to Mitch being home! I hope that he is successful in his future endeavors....I know that it will be hard though. Missions can be as tough as boot camp in some ways. Prayers will come his way though. Yea to Dan's work. I feel your pain with debt. I wonder if we will ever see the light at the end of the tunnel again. I guess when you have such little family time together it makes what you do have sweeter. At least that is the theory. Ha.
