Fall Festival, even though its still really SUMMER

Audrey after getting her face painted at our school's Fall Festival (i.e. big fundraiser).

Olivia got a balloon. She does not yet appreciate having her face painted.

After I got off work, we rushed off to the school to spend some of our money at the Fall Festival. The kids have been looking forward to it since school started. The one really good thing about it is that this is THE fundraiser for the school, so we don't have to hassle relatives and friends all year long, trying to get them to buy highly overpriced wrapping paper and popcorn. The bad thing is you can spend a great deal of money in a short amount of time. They have silent auctions where you can bid on some really cool stuff, but since we have to pay for Suburban repairs, I avoided that table and stuck with the pizza and cotton candy. I wish I had a picture of Livvi with her cotton candy. She had more on her cheeks than in her mouth, and at one point she said, "Look mom, I have a sugar beard!" Very cute.
Duncan was a little concerned that this would be the last year he would be able to attend Fall Festival, since he is in his last year at this school. He was very happy to find out that the school will gladly take his money at their fundraisers for as many years as he wants to go. And Will thought it was a little lame this year. I guess he is getting too old to be impressed by blow-up rides and carnival games.
