It has been one of those days where it seems as if my children are all speaking in VERY LOUD VOICES to me all the time, and right in my face. I am feeling somewhat shell shocked tonight by the demands of being a week-day single parent to them. Would I be a terrible mother to admit that I am seriously looking forward to my 10 hour workday tomorrow, when I get to go interact with adults for a day?? A good part of today was spent on the floor with Olivia, having her dictate my lines to me as we pretended her stuffed animals were all the different characters in the movie Enchanted, and she acted out the entire movie with them. I got in big trouble for presuming to use the Indiana Jones theme music while flying the stuffed bear who was playing the role of Edward in on the dragon. She informed me in no uncertain terms that he was NOT Indiana Jones, he was Edward. Kind of scary that my three year old knows her theme songs.
Speaking of being informed of things, I was just informed by Alisa that her academic career will be over tomorrow if she doesn't show up at school with the slew of supplies that her teachers are all demanding we provide for her free and appropriate public education. So I guess I am off to Walmart, in search of specifically sized and very hard to find notebooks, book covers, binders, and who knows what else.
