Reconnections

My friend Valerie came to Logan today with four of her five kids. They live in Stansbury Park now and we don't get together too often, but I have known Val since I was five and she was three. We were best friends growing up and all through high school, and then after we both were married we were in the same ward in South Salt Lake for a few years. Her daughter Sarah is going to USU in the fall, and they brought her up for some kind of freshman orientation. Val's kids are all getting so big! Mine are too, but I am used to them. Time really does fly. All our little babies are big old teenagers now. I have re-vowed to keep in better touch with her now that we have spent some time together, but knowing myself like I do, I know I probably won't do much better. I do have her email and cell phone number now, so I don't have any excuses.
In all the chaos of having visitors however, Will and Audrey spent all day in the sun and the pool without any sunscreen. They both look like little lobsters. It is amazing how much more sunburned you get in the water. So I am now off to find the aloe vera.
