Yesterday we splurged on a big pool for the backyard, the kind with a filter and a ladder and a cover. It's pretty cool, and we have had a great time so far just splashing around in the freezing cold hose water. It took about five hours to fill, with the hose on full blast, so hopefully we can just keep it set up the way it is and not have to refill it. The water was much warmer today than yesterday and I think by tomorrow, if we uncover it and let the sun hit it, it should be pretty toasty. I figure if it saves us three or four trips to the city pool we will almost have saved enough to make it worth it. If we can keep Maggie away from it, and keep it one piece for the whole summer.
Our other adventure of the day was a trip to the library on the city bus. Olivia kind of freaked out when the bus first started moving, but she figured out pretty quickly it was just like a great big car. Logan has a free bus system that gets you all around town. There are a higher percentage of slightly weird people on the bus than you normally see in Logan, but overall it's a pretty awesome ride.
