Snowy

Saturday morning we woke up early to the first real snow we have had since we moved here. There was six inches and it was still coming down good.  What the heck, it's only November!  Is it possible we are going to have a REAL winter around here for a change? Or is it just a fluke?  Either way,Olivia could not wait to get out and play in it.   And yes indeedee, those are her pajama bottoms.
Maggie was pretty excited too.  This old girl doesn't get too perky over anything anymore, but she was definitely ready to play. Just when we decide she is just about done for, she surprises us.
Pretty soon Audrey came out and got in on the action too.

Here is Maggie in her favorite position, laying down with her legs stretched out behind her.  We haven't seen her lay like this for a long time.  Maybe the snow felt good on her poor old hips.

The first snowman creation came together quickly, and I though we could be done and go back inside.  But no, these girls wanted a whole family of snow people. They are motivated snow man builders!!  It didn't take them long to roll out some company for the first guy.

This is the baby.  We named him Scooter.  Scooter Avery.

Mrs. Jennifer Avery, also known as the snowman mom.

And Mr. Robert Avery, honored to be the first snowman ever built by us in Syracuse.  I hope he is not the last snowman we build this year.

Later on, Olivia made herself a cozy little bed on the floor of the family room, and was asleep as soon as her heat hit the panda.  Playing in the snow is exhausting!
