We have been quite the bizzy bees as of late.
Sprinklers on trampolines and water balloons,
Hiking up Millcreek Canyon with our cousins who came to town,
finding cool trees,
posing for way too many pictures,
Paulson Family Pie Parties,
plenty of girl time with the Fabulous Featherstones,
dance recitals,
a little hangin around with poor old Mags,
marching in the Syrcause Heritage Days Parade!
wondering who in the world Uncle Sam would be texting in the middle of a parade,
oh, and even better than marching, riding in the parade
and finally, spending a triple-digit afternoon at the pool.
Last night, we sat in our front yard and watched the fireworks from the Syracuse celebration. It was a nice little prequel to the 4th of July, which unbelievably, is right around the corner. And the day after that, Alisa will be home! I am going to be stewing a lot about that this week, as she has quite the journey ahead of her to make it home, and she is going to be all by her lonesome. She flies out Thursday the fifth, 11 AM Paris time, which is like 3 AM our time, and won't arrive in SLC until very late the night of the 5th. In fact, it may even be the 6th before we actually lay eyes on her. I'm really excited, and more than a little nervous....
