There is still one day of school left, but from the looks of things around here, it would appear that summer is in full bloom. My back door is already covered in hand prints, the peanut butter and jelly seem to have taken up permanent residence on the kitchen table, and most of my gas money has been going to chauffeur my kids places. That's a good thing though. It's nice to have them a little bit busy.
The winding up of the school year has been chock full of fun too.
Audrey had toga days. Couldn't let that one pass undocumented.
And let us not forget the pharaoh mask she made earlier in the year...
And Will had one final orchestra concert.
I cannot believe this boy is going into the 9th grade next year. He keeps reminding me that technically, that means he is in high school. My baby boy is going to be a freshman! Unbelievable. And I can't even think about Duncan being a senior. I have so much to do to get ready for life after high school for him. But I think I'll take the summer off and worry about it in September.
Today was field day for Livvi and Audrey, but since I was doing that nasty work thing, I have no photos. And tomorrow is it. I will be working again of course, but as of 1:25 tomorrow afternoon, hold on to your tank tops. Summer vacation will be in full force. God bless us, every one. Especially me.
