Scenes from a Play Last Friday and More

YES, Audrey totally rocked a full house as Anastasia in her school play last Friday night.  We have the whole thing taped on our very old video camera, which we can't/don't know how to make digital, so if you happened to miss the performance, you will either have to take our word for it, from these few pictures, or come over to our house and watch it on our TV.  Either way, she was brilliant as a wicked step sister.  Watching her performance, you  would think she had first hand knowledge of life with evil and klutzy relatives, but  I swear, she doesn't.   Hmm, maybe I can think of a few people she may have drawn inspiration from.....but I'm sure it was mostly just her pure, raw talent.
Here she is, after the play, greeting her many fans and their cameras.
And here are a few shots of her onstage.  I'm sad these are blurry. They are sized wrong.  I'll have to see if I can fix them.  But the play was really adorable, and very well done.  There was literally a cast of hundreds!  Hundreds of school kids- all in costume, and all in the right place at the right time with the right lines.  It was quite a little show.

Audrey was sad when it was over.  She really enjoyed the whole experience, and can't wait to try out for the next one, which is the Syracuse City summer production of Into the Woods.  She tries out the end of April, so we will be holding our breath to see how that one goes.

After the show, she got flowers and cards and stuffed animals, and this:

It was delicious.

And now, we move on to Easter.....part I.  The Prep Day.

We only had one egg hunter to take to the ward Easter egg hunt today.   That was kind of weird.  Audrey would have come, but she was in Logan.  So it was just our Livvi, out in the grass and trees with her basket and her smile.  And plenty of eggs of course.
She claims to be the Easter Bunny's biggest fan.  Her words, not mine.  She already has her easter basket sitting out, in anticipation of a visit from  him tonight.
I personally was never a huge believer in the Easter Bunny.  It just never made any sense to me.  I mean, at  least Santa Claus is human.

After the egg hunt, and retrieving Audrey from Logan, we worked on these all afternoon:
My children are the egg artists around here.   I even have a few pictures to prove that Will rose from the dead long enough to color a few eggs.

And I am the bunny cake artist, except for the bow tie.  That was all the girls.  Olivia is very mad that the bunny cake has coconut on it.  Sorry kid, it's tradition.  You can eat the tie.
