These are the only pictures we took this week?

Not a whole lot of excitement going on around here lately, as evidenced by the pictures I downloaded off my camera this week:
This is Olivia, who is mad that friends can't stay all night.

This is what our basement looked like a few days ago.

We paid lots of money for that little bit of metal pipe that runs half way down the wall and out the foundation.  So I figured I better snap a picture while it was still visible.

And  here are our walls!  Lookin good, no?

Window sills! Real window sills.

Tomorrow the ceiling gets textured and everything gets all cleaned up.

Our future fireplace, future shelves, and future outlets.

Our drywall guy says he will be done tomorrow.  After that it is all pretty much up to us. Paint, flooring, trim, outlets.....it doesn't sound too complicated, and the actual work is not hard.  The complicated part is finding the TIME to complete the work.   I'm being optimistic and still shooting for Christmas.  But that would hinge on my work schedule getting straightened out, which still has not happened and which is causing me a fair amount of dismay, but there is nothing do to about it other than stick it out for a bit longer.

Will and Audrey are back home safe and sound.  We have a little black cloud of  post-vacation blues still floating around in the air around here, but I think the kids are entitled to a little moping....Poor kids got home late Sunday night and were back in school less than 12 hours later.  Ouch.

And that is our life in pictures from the past week.  Sad.  Maybe next week will be more picturesque.
