It's been over a year since we took family pictures. And with Alisa leaving, it will be at least another year before we are all together again. The one thing I really wanted to do before she left was to get somebody to snap a few shots of our whole crew together. And of course it didn't happen. Of course I procrastinated, and forgot about it. Until 10 pm on the night of her farewell party, as we were walking out the door, when it suddenly occurred to me that this was it: this was the last time we would all be together for a long time. It was dark by then, and we were all tired, so these pictures most likely will not win any photography awards, but it's the best we've got.
Okay. So maybe we scream white trash in these shots. We look like we just got back from camping or something. But I still think there's hope. A little editing, a little photo bucket magic, and some of these shots could so be a Christmas card! Or maybe an Awkward Family Photo entry.
And I love Olivia's face in some of these. I think the whole story of the night can be told in her expressions. It is also giving me pains that the better shots are blurry. Stupid camera.
