Party plans for Olivia are underway and we are NOT TALKING ABOUT IT. It's not a surprise party- she knows all about it. We just are NOT MENTIONING A WORD. She is having a big fancy kid party this year, and being the high strung girl that she is, the odds of her having a nuclear meltdown in the middle of it are running pretty high. So we are doing our best to downplay the whole thing. She has a tendency to want it ALL, and to never be happy with what she gets. (Wonder where she gets that from). If she ruminates too much on what all is planned for this party, she is just gonna want something different, which she can't have because I already put down a $50.00 deposit on the Little Mermaid, dammit!
So. Think I am too old to survive a houseful of six year old girls for an afternoon? Because I'm pretty sure I am. Olivia and I get along great, it's just her friends that I am too old for. In the house, out of the house, on the trampoline, off the trampoline, losing their shoes, getting their feelings hurt, needing a drink, needing a snack, needing a band-aid, needy needy needy! Thank heavens for Audrey though. I told her I would pay her $5 to keep Olivia and her friends entertained for an hour, so she has them all out in the backyard blowing up balloon animals. Is she awesome or what? I have also hired her to be the activities director for the birthday party. It's gonna be awesome!
My former Party Activities Director, Alisa, will hopefully probably maybe be around that day too. She is moving in with Grandma and Grandpa TOMORROW! I don't know if we will get to see any more of her than we do now, but I'm excited to have her closer. Even if it is only for the summer....
Ahhhh silence. The girls have all left to play somewhere else. Audrey is leaving for a friend's house soon. I'm making the boys come to the store with me to cash in on some coupon deals. And then we can start our Friday night!
