In Other News...

Scary stuff going on out there in the world. Egypt on fire, and reporters getting beat up. Chicago snowed under and freezing wind in Utah. Sad to say, we are kind of wrapped up in our own lives right now, with not a lot of time for analyzing or empathizing with world events the way we should.

Like for instance, time is flying by so fast, we can't keep up with everything. Yesterday I forgot to pay lunch money for the kids at school. So Will texted me when he couldn't get any lunch. I think it is ridiculous that the school can't give a kid a break, and just let him have a stupid lunch if he forgets his lunch money one day. I can see cracking down the second day, but everybody forgets sometimes. Duncan got a lunch at the high school, even though he was out of money as well. Apparently the high school has a heart. Or maybe just nicer lunch ladies. And Audrey had some money left in her account, so she was okay. Until I forgot that it was an early out day for her, and left her standing in the freezing wind, waiting for me to come, and wondering if I had been in a car accident, and that was the reason I wasn't there. She takes after me, and has a flair for the tragic. It was a terrible day to be left waiting outside. I felt awful that I forgot about early out. Forgetting stuff like that is a sign that I have too much on my mind. These night classes I am teaching are taking up too much space in my brain! The second one started last night though, which means only seven more nights. Three more weeks. We might just survive this after all. The crazy thing is that while I am there teaching, I really enjoy it. It's stressful, and lots of work, but fun too, in a weird kind of way.

I have more news to share, but it is 1:22, and I gotta remember early out....can't leave Audrey standing in the cold again!
