Our little fashionista turned five on the 17th of May.
Gotta love this outfit-her cape is a princess nightgown that she has strapped to her back, and her shirt is her pajama top. She LOVES fashion and dressing up and these days is into accessorizing.
So a few days before her birthday, we had a cousin party. Excellent idea. Cousins are so much less stress than friends. It was the perfect amount of party for a five year old to handle. One advantage of surviving to your sixth child's fifth birthday is that you really have a handle on what constitutes enough birthday. Big, elaborate celebrations are best saved for when the kid gets old enough to have some manners, and to actually remember all the work you went to.
Then on her birthday, it was a family day, with the traditional morning presents of cereal and clothes,
She did so much better in the actual performance than in the rehearsal. It was like she was "on" or something. We may have a performer on our hands. Either way, Miss Livvi Grace has sure made a splash in our family, and I am so glad she is mine!
