The youngest boy in our house turns 12 today. Will takes a certain amount of pride in being my littlest boy, which is what I have always called him. As of now, he can still claim that title, but for how much longer is anyone's guess. He may wind up to be our biggest kid in the end. But it doesn't matter how big he gets, he will always be my Chief Yum Yum. He is smart, a deep thinker, and fun to talk to. He definitely keeps us all on our toes around here, and I really can't believe we have had him for 12 years already.
His choice today was to skip school, and spend the day with a friend, so we went out to eat and then to the mall for self-selected birthday presents. One of his gifts was a huge bag of beef jerky. Will has a serious love for beef jerky. I warned him quite sternly to not eat the entire bag in one sitting. I told him the consequences could be dire if he did. So he was very good, and only ate a little bit of it after we got home. Unfortunately, he left it sitting out on his bed, in easy reach of Maggie, who devoured every bit that was left. Probably about 2 pounds of beef jerky. I am more than a little worried what we may be in for.
Happy Birthday Will!
