Funny Farm
I love third graders. Liv and I were lucky enough to get to accompany Audrey and the rest of the third grade on their field trip to the farm today. Third graders are the best- they are self sufficient, reasonable, and just. They are still interested in EVERYTHING, still think adults are pretty cool, and are ridiculously impressed by the smallest things. Like shooting wads of toilet paper out of a shotgun. Or learning how to make pemmican. Or an old guy with one of those fake dog leash contraptions, where it looks like you are walking an invisible dog on a leash. Only this guy was walking an invisible raccoon. Those kids had a blast, just going along with him, and loving up his invisible raccoon. Except for Olivia, who kept hollering that she couldn't see the raccoon. Olivia was highly impressed with the school bus ride though. Her first-ever ride on a school bus. She also got to throw tomahawks, but that may be a story for another day.
