Change of Plans

I was supposed to get a lot of stuff done today. I woke up early, the sun was shining, and Olivia had two playdates lined up at friends houses. I was going to get the house put back together, do some long overdue yardwork (thank you rain), and start the laundry. Then I noticed that Olivia looked weird. And she smelled weird. And she wasn't eating. Just about the time she was supposed to be heading over to her friend's house, she fell asleep. When she woke up, she had a headache and a fever. Goodbye housework plans, hello laying around with a sick kid and watching movies. Then the weather turned cold and crappy. Goodbye yard work plans. The weeds will live to see another day. Good bye laundry aspirations. Goodbye ambition. Hope you come back tomorrow.
