Snow Jobs

We woke up this morning to eight unexpected inches of snow. It has snowed all day, and now we have close to a foot. When I got up this morning, my lovely 4 wheel drive Suburban was parked in the garage, all toasty warm and dry. And Alisa had slept in, and her car was parked in the driveway, covered in snow, and blocking my way. So my day started by wading through the driveway and cleaning off a mountain of snow to try to locate a car to drive underneath there somewhere. Dan was out there too, shoveling so I could get out of the driveway (bless his heart), and cleaning off the other car. In the process of shoving snow off the top of the car, he inadvertently shoved a huge pile off on top of me, and snowed me in good. Needless to say, it was a bad hair day. It's hard to hate the snow too much though, when the little darlings and the dog get such a charge out of it. Gotta love March- on Friday they were out front in their t-shirts riding their bikes, and today they were out front building snow forts! Tonight, they are all praying that it will snow all night so they can have a snow day tomorrow. Since I don't have anywhere to be tomorrow morning, that would be okay with me!

My crazy husband got a big charge out of driving the little red Geo, also known as a TOBOGGAN, through the canyon today on his way to work. As he was driving through the drifting, blowing blizzard, he was VIDEOTAPING all the cars sliding off the road in front of him. It's a good thing he lived through that little stunt, because I would have been really irate at him if he hadn't...he also got rewarded for his very bad behavior by having the video he shot show up on his news this evening.

And, in closing, here is the prayer Liv said at dinner tonight..."Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day and please, bless us with SOMETHING!"
