Happy Groundhog Day! Happy 101st birthday to my grandma. She died in 2000, but Ground hog day will always remind me of my grandma.....maybe we will eat some ice cream tonight in her memory. She LOVED ice cream. And mini marshmallows. Not as an accompaniment to the ice cream, but she would let me have a bowl full of mini marshmallows to eat in front of the TV. She would put them in the little plastic margarine containers that she saved. Who else but your grandma lets you eat a whole bowl of just marshmallows? I miss having grandmas.
Livvi went to preschool today and I went HOME. By myself. Spent a lovely morning mopping the kitchen floor and cleaning up the shampoo spill in the bathroom. I forgot how great it is to be home alone because I never am. Then I went to work for a few hours, where I get to hang out with grownups. Actually, on second thought, I'm not sure my coworkers meet the definition of the word "grownups". But that's what makes it magical.
Anyhow, with a semi-clean house and a semi-sane mind, I am embarking tonight with the children into the little known territory known as Family Night. But I have to hurry, because The Bachelor starts in 30 minutes!!!
