Continued

Our home teacher died today.

It just feels weird to be having a normal day at our house when a few doors down the street the world has turned upside down. I almost feel guilty that our lives are going on like always. Something should be different.

But Audrey's third grade concert happened tonight, and we went, and had a great time, and as usual, Audrey was adorable and entertaining and animated. Sometimes when I look at her, I can still see that sweet little newborn face that I first met 8 1/2 years ago. Out of all my kids, she is the one that has looked the most like herself from day one. Tonight, she really put on a show, singing her heart out and just performing. I hope she holds on to that. She really throws herself into life. If I can figure out how to post video, I have some great video of her pantomiming an opera singer.

The highlight of the night was probably when one little kid was supposed to be describing the opera company that's based here in Logan. Instead of saying "opera company" he called it the "Oprah company." I know Oprah owns most of the world, but I don't think she's made it to Logan yet!
