Applesauce Anyone?

We spent the better part of Saturday making applesauce at the Salt Lake house. Everybody got in on the fun except my mother. She opted for making herself scarce for a good part of the day. She took Olivia with her all day though, so we can't fault her too much. And applesauce-making is definitely some sticky business. It's worth the work though, because once you've had homemade applesauce, you can never, no never, no never go back to Musselmans.











Emmie even came over and pitched in. Isn't she amazing? And aren't we quite the hotties?


I think Dad is smiling because that's the last of the apples he is pushing through the strainer. We wound up with something like 27 quarts.

Okay! WE want some homemade applesauce here in Chicago! Do you deliver?! Looks and sounds like LOTS of fun! Wish we could have been there to join you. I'd love to learn how to make homemade applesauce. Thanks for posting the pictures of all of you too! It made me smile to see them. Missing you all...
