I keep forgetting to put this on too-
The other night at dinner, Will suggested that we start a new tradition, and have everybody say something they were thankful for before we started eating. I thought that was a GREAT idea, so we started. We went around the table, and everybody took a turn saying something they were thankful for, like family, friends, home, etc.
Then it came to Olivia's turn. I asked her what she was thankful for, not sure she even knew what we were talking about it. She rested her head in hands for a few moments, deep in thought. Then she looked up, and said,
"I am thankful for spoons."
Any introspective reverence anybody might have been feeling pretty much fell apart at that point, and we all had a great laugh.
But come to think of it, I am thankful for spoons too. And thankful for a little unexpected three-year-old blessing who keeps us laughing and thinking and running like crazy.
