A Bonk on the Head

No sooner had I gotten out the door for a little sanity time tonight when Dan called (yes, he was actually home tonight!) to tell me that Will had hit his head really hard and was dizzy and nauseous. He and a friend had been goofing around wrestling and Will had gotten thrown to the floor a little too rambunctiously. They were all pretty upset, but we opted to wait for a while before rushing him to the ER. Experience has taught us that after a three hour wait, a $4000 cat scan/MRI, and a penlight in the eyes, we would probably be billed a $150.00 copay to be told that he has a mild concussion and to go home and watch him really close for the next day or two. So now, he is asleep on the couch, and I am sitting here worrying that we maybe are missing something and we should have taken him in. It's really hard to be objective about your kids.
On a lighter note, Olivia is doing really well with the potty training. She isn't there yet, and I refuse to get my hopes up that maybe one day soon she will be done with diapers for good, but today was a much better day than yesterday. At least that's what I hear. I worked all day, and Grandma got to do the potty training thing today. Thanks Grandma!
